Also, vague language about not being allowed to accept "comparable" funding at the same time -- anyone know what comparable means in this situation? Has anyone received a rejection? The original announcement CES put out about the Mellon grant says that twenty grants will be awarded over two years I'm guessing the poster above is correct that it is probably some kind of wait list situation at this point if recipients have already been informed.
CES probably needs to know whether they will accept their offer or will take other appointments before they formally announce the winners in May.
